Good read and advice. 馃槉 Shulie, the problem with 500 and 1000 notes is a temporary one. The Indian government has issued new 500 notes post demonetization. They will also be issuing new 1000 notes eventually.
Thank you, Aparna. Boy, the Indian government was fast. Thank you for sharing this good and useful information. I guess no one should accept OLD 500 & 1,000 rupee notes. Just in case the black market is trying to 're-cycle' them. :)
